My heart is shattered, and words simply fail me. I hit the lottery, without a doubt, and lucked into one of the most amazing cousins a girl could ask for! He was so loving, and beyond caring, but most importantly he was protective. Growing up I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world, we spent tons of time together on the farm, spending the night at Aunt Kathy's, hanging out at track meets when our schools competed each other, and even working together at Cedar Point. It was then as a teenager I really realized just how lucky I was! I seen that he didn't just love me because I was family and it was required, but because he had the biggest heart possible. If every there was someone in need, or if a person needed cheered up he was the man for the job. Dave came from two really BIG families, which made him beyond lucky for sure, but as kids he would always ask me who my favorite cousin was and I'd give him hell and always pick someone else which always got under his skin, but honestly out of 25 cousins he was one of my favorites. He may have only been 29, and far to young to leave us and his children but at least I know he touched the hearts of so many, family, friends and strangers. Please rest assured over these difficult days ahead that David lived an amazing life, short, but he was full of love and loved by many! My heart will always be missing a peice, and my thoughts and prayers are with Kathy, David Sr. Daniel, Brayden, Carmen, Zach and all the aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and anyone else touched by "Big Dave" you will always be my favorite <3
