Walter R. Frisbee, age 92, of Castalia, passed away Saturday evening, January 27, 2024, at Metro Health Hospital, Cleveland.
He was born December 30, 1931, in Hamilton, OH, and graduated from Hamilton High School. Walter served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Monroe MI., for eight years, before transferring to the Sandusky plant in 1956, where he would continue to work until retirement in 1982. Following retirement, Walter went back to work for Mathews Ford for an additional 17 years. He was a member of the Church of God, Sandusky, and loved to spend time with his family, take long trips for ice cream, ride snowmobiles in northern Michigan, and ride motorcycles.
He is survived by three sons Michael Frisbee, Randy (Michele) Frisbee, and James (Kimberlee) Frisbee; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister Elsie Redmon; and many nieces and nephews.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife Billie Jean Frisbee; parents Ralph and Lela Frisbee; and sisters Thelma Meeks and Juanita Dalton.
Friends may call from 10 AM until time of services at 1 PM Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Church of God 1018 W. Bogart Rd. Sandusky. Pastor Harvey Studer will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
