Virginia Avalon (Johnson) Bloomberg

Virginia Avalon (Johnson) Bloomberg, age 83, residing in Marblehead, passed away Tuesday September 15, 2020, at Otterbein Senior Living, Marblehead.

She was born July 10, 1937, in Erie, PA, to the late Esther Goodman Johnson and Raymond Johnson.  Avalon resided most of her life in Castalia.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as caring for many elderly.  She loved nothing more than getting her hands dirty in her immaculate garden, admiring her flowers and hummingbirds at the feeder.  Her pride and joy were her two dogs Tinker and Poochy.  

She is survived by her children Bob (Sami) Warner, FL, Raymond (Nancy) Warner, Sandusky, Debbi (Glenn) Klein, Sandusky, Mike (Laurie) Johnson, PA, Kurt (Linda) Bloomberg, FL, and Robin (Chris Kuns) Gosser, Castalia; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; siblings Tom Johnson, Doris Johnson, Carolyn Yaple, Bette Ransom, and Hilda Parker.

Avalon was preceded in death by her parents; son Paul Warner; siblings Raymond Johnson, Donna Fickenworth, Annette Siple, and Keith Johnson.

Private family services will be Friday, September 18, 2020, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
