Terrie L. Hirt

Terrie L. Hirt, age 75, of Bay View, passed away in her loving husband’s arms, Wednesday morning, October 9, 2024, in her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 20, 1949, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1967.  Following high school, she worked for Columbia Gas for several years before opening Bill’s Implement, Port Clinton, with her husband.  Terrie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sandusky.  She enjoyed shopping trips with her friends and family, spoiling her grandchildren, and taking family vacations. She met many lifelong friends traveling around the eastern United States attending many tractor pulls and she was an avid supporter of all her grandchildren’s high school sporting events.

She is survived by her husband William Hirt; daughters Julie (Jason) Overmyer, and Jennifer (Matthew) Lesch; son Jeffrey (Jessica) Hirt; seven grandchildren Isabella, Judson, Logan, Jaxson, Lane, Bret, and Lily; sisters Rebecca (John) Lynn, Janie (Scotty) Bem, and Amy (Don) Palmer; brother Thomas (Jan) Jenkins; many nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver Kristina Belinge.

Terrie was preceded in death by her parents Burdette and Audrey (Wobser) Jenkins; step father Charlie Taylor; and sister in infancy Susan.

Friends may call from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 11 AM until time of services starting at 12 Noon, Monday October 14, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church 502 Bardshar Rd. Sandusky.  Rev. Jen Hermann will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Danbury.
