Ronda K. Hartley, age 59, of Sandusky, passed away Monday morning, June 3, 2024, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.
She was born February 18, 1965, in Sandusky, and graduated from both Huron High School and EHOVE Joint Vocational School in 1983. Ronda worked numerous retail jobs over many years including Wal-Mart. She was a very hard working, kind soul who was always willing to help anyone in need. She had a bold personality and was never afraid to tell you like it is. Ronda loved hosting family dinners with her kids and grandkids. Her unique laugh was infectious to all. Animals were always drawn to her and she rescued many strays.
She is survived by her husband Robert Hartley; daughters Charmaine (Jason) Brown, and Shannon O’Rork; son Benjamin (Jennifer) Hartley; parents Ronald and Judy (McKinnon) Schoenegge, Naples, Fl; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 soon to be great-great grandhchild; sisters Angela (Kenneth) Mingus, and Sheena (Kris) Wain; brother in-law Jim Kimberlin; and several nieces and nephews.
Ronda was preceded in death by her son Chris Hartley; grandson Zechariah Protzman; and sister Beth Kimberlin.
Friends may call from 2 PM until time of services at 3:30 PM Sunday June 9, 2024, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St. Castalia. A luncheon will follow at the Elks Lodge, 120 East Adams St. Sandusky.
