Robert V. Ensign

Robert V. Ensign, age 88, of Sandusky, passed away Monday morning, December 16, 2024, in his residence.

He was born January 22, 1936, in Tecumseh, MI, to parents Clifford and Gladys (Reed) Ensign.  He served in the U.S. Army for 21 ½ years and was a member of the VFW and American Legion.  Robert worked for the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, for over 22 years as the Food Service manager.  In his free time, Robert loved to watch Western’s on TV. 

He is survived by his daughter Sheila (Steve) Harkness; granddaughter Serena Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ensign; parents Clifford and Gladys Ensign; granddaughter Vanessa Market-Edwards; sister Delores Lenartz; and brother Richard “Dick” Ensign.

Burial will take place in the spring.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
