Rick J. Cline

Rick J. Cline, age 66, of Sandusky, passed away Monday night, January 27, 2024, in Admiral’s Pointe Nursing Home, Huron, following a lengthy illness.

He was born April 17, 1957, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1976.  He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sandusky.  Rick worked for United States Gypsum Company, Port Clinton, Perkins Township Fire Department, and Erie County Sherriff’s Department.   

He is survived by his wife Connie (Sternberg) Cline; daughter Kelly Gerber; two grandchildren Cordell James Gerber and Kida Ann David; mother Wilma (Lowe) Cline; two brothers Robert (Sylvia) Cline, and Jeff (Jeannine) Cline; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Rick was preceded in death by his father Richard A. Cline; a brother in infancy; and both sets of grandparents.

A private family celebration of life will be held a later date.  Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
