Pauline M. (Maldonado) Ramon, 94, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, 2022, following a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Fremont, Ohio, and attended St. Joseph School, Fremont, and Townsend Township School. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky, where she was on the bereavement team. Pauline worked in nursing for Good Samaritan Hospital and retired after 25 years from General Motors. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking for her family. Her specialty was Mexican food and lots of tortillas.
She is survived by four children, Anthony (JoAnn) Ramon, Martha (Thomas) Rodriguez, Mary Helen (Scott) Priver, and Beatrice (Guadalupe) Garcia; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Peter Maldonado; two sisters, Mary Lou (Daniel) Cantu and Harriet Lopez; and several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Reynaldo “Pee Wee” Ramon; parents, Felix and Frances Maldonado; brothers, John and Richard Maldonado; and sisters, Frances Rendon and Susie Loredo.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky. Father Monte Hoyles will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
