Merrill "Bud" Frische

Merrill E. “Bud” Frische, age 97, of Castalia, passed away Friday afternoon, June 7, 2024, at Admiral’s Point Nursing and Rehabilitation, Huron.

He was born July 22, 1926, in Ironton, OH, and graduated from Ironton High School.  Merrill proudly served in the U.S. Army and was member of the American Legion.  He worked and retired from New Departure as a machine operator and was a member of the UAW.  Merrill was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Clyde, where he loved to sing in the choir.   He was also a member of the Town and Country Players. 

He is survived by his daughter Linda Keegan; son Scott Frische; daughter in-law Brenda Frische; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; sisters Margie Clegg; and Karen (Dennis) Dickess; and many nieces and nephews. 

Merrill was preceded in death by his wife Ruth (Pemberton) Frische; parents John and Norella (McKean) Frische; sons Rodney Frische and Steve Frische; and a host of brothers and sisters. 

Friends may call from 10 AM until time of services at 12 Noon, Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.  Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
