Melissa "Missy" Salyer

Melissa “Missy” Salyer, age 39, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, in her residence.

She was born August 6, 1982, in Norwalk, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 2000.  Missy loved her three girls more than anything, attending all their sporting events especially softball.  She was ridiculously hilarious and stayed on top of everything she did.  She loved cooking, decorating, and doing projects with her daughters, as well as playing with her dogs “Roxy” and “Doc”.   Missy was very smart and intelligent; she made everyone else feel dumb at times.  She also lit up every room she walked in with her beautiful smile.  Although she got on everyone’s nerves, she was still everyone’s favorite.  Missy was a wonderful mother, daughter, aunt, sister, and fiancé.  Her favorite football team was the Ohio State Buckeyes; she could sit there for hours and yell at the TV.  Softball was something she could not live without and loved every second watching it. 

She is survived by her three daughters Mariah Clinton, Maleah Clinton, and Kaylee Summers; fiancé RC Summers; step son Tyler (Alayna) Stewart; mother and step father Bonnie and Mike Hacker; sister Jessie (Mike Delk) Salyer; brother TJ Salyer; nieces Alana (Pete) Fidler and Darcy (Sloan) Sessions; nephew Trent (Faith) Clinton; great nephew Trent Clinton Jr.; aunts Bridget Hayes and Andrea McPeek; special cousins Amanda (Joe) Charlton and Matthew (Felicia) McPeek; mother in-law Anne Summers; and sisters in-law Mary Daniels and Julie Fidler.

Missy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Ben and Berniece McPeek; uncles Dudley McPeek and Art Hayes; and father in-law Rudd Summers.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 12 Noon.  Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
