Mary J. Sokolowski, age 65, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday night, October 6, 2020, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 7, 1955, in Port Clinton, and graduated from Danbury High School in 1973. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sandusky, and she was a bartender for many years.
She is survived by two sons Erik Sokolowski and Brent Nidler; granddaughter Erika (Kyle) Milner; four great grandchildren; sister Sue (JR) Hatfield; two brothers Ed Sokolowski and Jim (Toni) Wightman; sister in-law Carolyn Gibbs; two special nieces Angela Bowers and Michelle Meadows; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Minnie (Warnke) Sokolowski; sister Constance Duby; brother Ronald Gibbs; and two infant brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM Friday, October 9, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave. Sandusky. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
