She was born February 26, 1927, in Toledo, and grew up with her family during the Great Depression and endured the hardships of WWII, the Korean War, the Cold War, and also the Vietnam War. She married Raymond Kajfasz at a young age and together they had five children. She had worked at several different jobs to support her family including time at a production line at Save Electric, as a seamstress at Russell’s Tuxedos, and latter as a seamstress at the Jobst Institute, where she worked on a few special projects including some of the apparel for the early manned space flights. After moving to Castalia, Sue enjoyed working at the Blue Hole gift shop until they closed down.
Sue loved sewing and made her children many of their clothing as they were growing up. She continued her sewing, making blankets and quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sue was also an avid gardener and spent many hours working in her yard.
Sue was also a talented artist and took great pleasure in making many creative drawings for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sue was loved by her family and friends and always enjoyed being with them. She really loved her trips to Port Angeles and staying with family.
She is survived by her sons Anthony (Susi) Kajfasz, Robert (Mary Romstad) Kajfasz; sister Cookie Grosgean; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sue was preceded in death by her 1st husband Raymond Kajfasz, 2nd husband Robert Brandon; daughter Patricia (Kajfasz) Shick; sons James Kajfasz, Thomas Kajfasz; sisters Jane and Bernice; brothers Richard and Joseph; and granddaughter Emily.
