Lois J. Paule

Lois J. Paule, age 81, of Castalia, passed away Saturday night, December 31, 2022, at The Willows at Bellevue, following a brief illness.

She was born April 17, 1941, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1959. Lois was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia; where she taught Sunday school and was in the Women of the Church.  She enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting, and listening to Pastor Justin on Sunday’s while attending the 1st United Methodist Church, Bellevue; and she loved serving others.   Lois was a cook for the Lutheran Memorial Home for many years and later, was on the Board of Directors for the Lutheran Memorial Home. 

She is survived by her daughter Linda Paule, Fremont; sons Douglas Paule, Castalia, and Mark (Kay) Paule, Castalia; six grandchildren Jessica Paule, Jarrett Paule, Kaitlyn Rose, Christi Felder, Lynsay Sumser, and Garrett Alt; six great grandchildren; brother Larry (Phyllis) Taylor, Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Richard Paule, in 2002; parents Clarence and Helen (Sessler) Taylor; and great granddaughter Ruthie Sumser.

A celebration of life will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 1 PM until time of memorial service at 3 PM, at the First United Methodist Church, 901 Northwest St., Bellevue.  Pastor Justin Jump will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date in Castalia Cemetery.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
