Josephine Louettia Bailey

Josephine Louettia Bailey, age 85, of Castalia, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, May 1, 2022, at the Portland Place, Sandusky, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born December 31, 1936, in Hager, KY, and was a member of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene.  Louettia enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, and traveling; she also loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her four daughters; Mary (Ted) Gearheart, Martha Gaye (Dan) Dyer, Ema (Dennis) Miller, and Marilyn (Michael) Long; two sons; J. David (Clara) Bailey and John (Rose) Bailey; 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Bailey; parents Bert and Judia Reed; and four brothers Edison Reed, Dean Reed, B. Stelson Reed, and Bobby Reed. 

Friends may call from 4-7 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM, Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene 1617 Milan Rd., Sandusky.  Pastor David Flack and Derick Bailey will officiate.  Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
