John T. Lynn, age 68, of Castalia, passed away Saturday October 26, 2024, at Providence Care Center Rehabilitation Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.
He was born February 14, 1956, in Sandusky, and graduated from Perkins High School in 1975. John served in the Army National Guard for six years and worked for General Motors as a tow motor operator for 32 years, retiring in 2009. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Jenkins) Lynn; daughters Amanda House, and Emily (Shawn) Tordi; three grandchildren Dominic Tordi, Audrey House, and Allie House; two sisters Penny (Tim) Kelley, and Sharon (Bob) Trout; two brothers Chris Lynn, and Bill Lynn; sisters in-law Janie (Scotty) Bem and Amy (Don) Palmer; brothers in-law Tom (Jan) Jenkins, and Bill Hirt; and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents Jack and MaryAnn (Mavros) Lynn; son in-law Henry House; and sister in-law Terrie Hirt.
Friends may call from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM Wednesday October 30, 2024, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM Thursday, October 31, 2024, in the funeral home. Pastor Josh Bender will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
At the request of John, he asks everyone to dress in casual attire.
