Jess J. Sanderson

Jess J. Sanderson, age 68, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday night, January 11, 2025, at Mercy Health Willard Hospital, following a brief illness. 

He was born April 27, 1956, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School.  Jess was a forklift operator for Central Soya, Bellevue, for 38 years.  He was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia, and he loved to fish and go boating. 

He is survived by his wife Glenda Shearer; daughters Merrisa (Tom) Herman, Stephanie (Nate) Anderson, and Jesslyn (Kyle) Lieber; sons Jeffery (Oliva) Sanderson, and Trevor (Alexis Wagner) Sanderson; step-daughter Leanne Fall; 16 grandchildren; and best friend Gary Rogers.

Jess was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Evelyn (Petsch) Sanderson; and infant brother Jack Sanderson. 

Friends may call Thursday January 16, 2025, from 12 Noon until time of memorial service at 2 PM, at Bellevue Alliance Church, 1001 Monroe St. Bellevue, OH 44811.  Pastor Jeff Durow will officiate.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
