Obituary
James Spencer, age 92, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Edgewood Manor, Port Clinton.
He was born February 15, 1930, in Sandusky, and graduated from Huron High School in 1949. James worked for Union Chain for 43 years. He loved to work on cars, collect and play almost every musical instrument, and spend time with his family; especially all his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Richard (Carol) Spencer, Linda (John) Huff, Randy Spencer, and Jeff (Patricia) Spencer; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three sisters Marilyn Mingus, Patsy Hoover, and Anita Hemmer; three brothers William (Yvonne) Spencer, Bradley (June) Bickley, and Robert Bickley; sister in-law Mary Spencer; brother in-law George Mingus; and many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn (Hyde) Spencer; parents William and Norma (Riblet) Spencer; grandson Aaron Spencer; granddaughter Cathy Huff; great granddaughter Kyla Spencer; sister Betty Mingus; and brothers Herman Spencer and Laddrick Bickley.
Friends may call from 1 PM until time of services at 3 PM Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Pastor Dave Brown will officiate.
