Gloria J. Mesenburg

Gloria J. Mesenburg, age 77, of Castalia, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 23, 2025, in her residence, following a brief illness.

She was born December 2, 1947, in Sandusky, and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School, in 1965.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sandusky, and was a banker for many years, in the Castalia and Sandusky area.  She enjoyed shopping, traveling and spending time with her family, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her daughter Christine (Mark) Deehr; sons Brent (Christine) Mesenburg, Gregory (Kim) Mesenburg, and Paul A. Mesenburg; one granddaughter Hannah Mesenburg; two step grandchildren Dalton and Torii Forsberg; two sisters Judy (Lynford) Sartor and Mary (Tim) Sartor; two brother in-laws Dennis (Rose) Mesenburg and Joe (Karen) Mesenburg; and several nieces and nephews. 

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Paul D. Mesenburg; parents Kenneth and Connie (Maiani) Leser; granddaughter Autumn Jean Deehr; brother Michael Leser; and father and mother in-law Paul and Doris (Long) Mesenburg. 

Friends may call from 4-7 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky, OH.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
