Obituary

Everett R. Giles, age 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

He was born in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Homer and Bertha (Taylor) Giles. When he was young, his family moved to Webster County WV where he later met his wife, Pauline (Mullens) Giles, who survives him. They were married for 69 years. He knew service to others as the best work in life. He lived out Biblical Scripture Mark 12:41-44. He did his part, including opening his home to others to give them a step up. He loved unconditionally. He loved to garden, hunt, fish, work on cars, go to the Sandusky Speedway, and King Midget shows, but most of all, time with his family and sharing stories with them. He was never afraid of taking on a challenge, saying “What is there to be afraid of?”. He received a high school equivalence diploma near the age of 70.

His family was his pride and joy, including 5 children who will dearly miss him; Kathie (Allan) Mueller, Carol Hay, Allen Giles, Tim (Lisa) Giles and Rodney Giles.
