Evelyn Mae Horgan

Evelyn Mae Horgan, age 84, of Bay View and formerly of Atlanta, passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022, after a battle with Alzheimer’s.   

She was born December 23, 1937, in Toledo, and graduated from Waite High School in 1955.  She was a member of the Embry Hills Methodist Church, Chamblee, GA, and also a member of the Atlanta Red Hat Society and the Epsilon-Sigma-Alpha Sorority.  Evelyn was a true social butterfly; she loved being around other people and loved to sing and dance.  She is finally at peace, surrounded by her family in heaven. 

She is survived by her significant other Richard Hardy; two daughters Beth Ann Orshoski and Linda Hardy; four grandchildren Scott (Misti) Orshoski, Wesley Orshoski, Lauren Orshoski, and Matthew Orshoski; and many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Hazel (Dalke) Cornwell; sister Emma Rarick; and brothers Edward, Leonard, Clyde, Raymond, and Darrell Cornwell.

There will be no services at this time, a celebration of life will be held later.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
