David T. Moloney, age 64, of Castalia, peacefully passed away Saturday night, August 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 1, 1958, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1978. David worked at Ford Motor Company for 30 years and was a member of the UAW Local 1216 and 2000. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to go deer hunting with his son Adam and friend Chris Miller. David also enjoyed going camping, canoeing, and taking family trips. He was a devoted husband and father; his family was the most important part of his life.
He is survived by his wife Debroa (Dyer) Moloney; daughter Tracy Nichole (John) Murray; son Adam David (Gina) Moloney; four granddaughters Janay, Alaina, Harley, and Lexis; sisters Jean Moloney, Joan (Kurt) Reynertson, and Mary (Jessie) Sterlin; brother Andrew Moloney Sr.; and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents Thomas “Ed” and Helen (Barkley) Moloney; and brother Jim Moloney.
Friends may call from 4-7 PM Friday August 25, 2023, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 11 AM until time of services at 12 Noon Saturday August 26, 2023, in the funeral home. Pastor Garry Sorrrell will officiate.
