Barden “Pudge” L. Graves, age 81, of Castalia, passed away Thursday morning, July 8, 2021, in his residence.
He was born October 3, 1939, in Toledo, and graduated in 1957 from Margaretta High School. Pudge was a life-long farmer in the Castalia area and was a member of the Congregational U.C.C., Castalia. He was also a member of the Castalia Elevator, Sandusky Milk Producers, Dairy Farmers of America, and Townsend Ruritan. Pudge was also on the Margaretta Township Zoning Board and a trustee of the Congregational U.C.C.
He is survived by his wife Sarah “Sally” (Pierce) Graves; daughter Jennifer Parker; son Daniel (Karen) Graves; five grandchildren Megan (Danny) Keegan, Haley (Adam) Hipp, Kassandra (Jordan) Vetomskie, Kayle Graves, and Derek Graves; five great grandchildren Jaxon, Wyatt, Huck, Deleaney, and Merryn; niece Barbara Weyer; and numerous cousins.
Barden was preceded in death by his parents Barden and Elizabeth (Kerkes) Graves; two sisters Barbara Graves and JaneAnn Williams; and two brothers Wayne and Bobby Graves.
Friends may call from 12 – 2 PM Monday, July 12, 2021, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. A graveside service will be in Graves Cemetery following visitation.
