William Staugh's Obituary

William L. Staugh, age 72, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022, in his residence.

He was born January 3, 1950, in Massillon, OH, and grew up in Bay View.  He attended Margaretta High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army.  William worked for Industrial Nut, Sandusky, Bay Point, Marblehead, and Precision Automotive, Bellevue.  He was a life member of the VFW, both Clyde and Sandusky, and former member of the Moose and Eagles.  William enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Leona (Frisch) Staugh; stepdaughters Debra, Denise Lock, Linda (Steve) Like, Leslie Dean, and Christina Fearing; stepsons Bobby Lock and Douglas "Gary" (Kim) Lock; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Betty Lou Staugh and Anabelle (Dave) Staugh; brother John Henry (Lisa) Staugh; and several nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Betty Lou Mayfield and John Staugh; four grandchildren Gary Keegan, Thomas Finlay, Brian Ayers, and Johnny.

Friends may call from 10 AM until time of services at 12 Noon, Friday August 5, 2022, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.  Pastor Rusty Yost will officiate.  Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
