Thomas H. Fields, age 72, of Bellevue, died Thurs., Dec. 15, 2016, in the University of Toledo Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 12, 1944 in Georges Creek, KY, to the late Leonard and Mabel Fields, and was a 1966 graduate of Perkins High School. He  retired from Universal Clay Products and Whirlpool,  enjoyed fishing, tractor pulls, and was a fan of blue grass music.

Tom is survived by his brother Leonard (Ruby) Fields, Jr., of Magnolia, KY, sister Dottie (Bo) Hensley, of Bellevue, sister Peggy Larkins, of Bellevue, brother Wendell (Kim) Fields of Bellevue, step-sister Bessie Ring of Crystal Rock, step-brother David (Glenna) Woods, of Bellefontaine; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Edith Boyd; his step-father Harrison Woods; and his paternal grandfather Henry Fields.

Friends may call from 2-5 pm Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral services will be held at 11am,  Monday, Dec. 19, in Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church, 7703 Mason Rd., Sandusky, with Pastor Paul Staton officiating. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
