Terry W.
Myers
February 18, 1941 – November 7, 2024
Terry Walter Myers, 83, of Castalia, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024.
Terry was born on February 18, 1941, in Port Clinton, Ohio. He met the love of his life, Rachel, in 1959. They were married in Monroe, Michigan in 1960. Together, they shared a life full of love, laughter, and devotion. Terry proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years, after which he and Rachel returned to Ohio, where they built their life together.
Terry worked at Sandusky Ford for 31 years before retiring, but he was far from slowing down. In retirement, he enjoyed weekly card games with friends, spent over 50 years playing tennis at the local racquet club, and found peace fishing by the water. He also cherished the company of their cocker spaniels, Maxx and Maxine, who were a constant source of joy and companionship throughout many years. He loved to cook and feed the community, which gave him so much pleasure.
A devoted member of Grace Lutheran Church in Castalia, Terry found strength in his faith and community. His kindness, humor, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Phillip Myers of Sandusky, and Deborah (Jim) Roderick of Findlay, and four granddaughters, Makenna Myers of Columbus, Keeleigh (Lindsey) Wyda-Myers of Columbus, Morgan (Stephen) Roderick of Columbus, and Marissa Roderick (Max) of (Kalispell,MT); and numerous friends and extended family who will miss him dearly.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Rachel (Taylor) Myers.
