Susan A. (Ohlmacher) Cassel, 73, of Castalia, OH passed away on September 25, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Avon, OH.

Susan was born on November 23, 1948 in Washington D.C. to the late William A. And Gloria (White) Ohlmacher. After graduating from Sandusky High School in 1966, she married her sweetheart, Harold Cassel. They were married 53 wonderful years. Together they had 2 children: Robyn and Danny.

Susan was full of laughter, and loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching the birds while sitting on her front porch with her husband, spending time with family and friends, playing card games, and reading.

She is survived by her husband Harold Cassel of Castalia, OH; son Dan (Amy) Cassel of Holden, Mass; daughter Robyn (Aaron) Evilsizor of Avon Lake, OH; grandchildren Breanna, Jacob, Nicholas, and Maisy; brothers Mark Ohlmacher of Las Vegas, NV, and David Ohlmacher (Laura Gippert) of Cape Coral, FL.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother William Ohlmacher.

Friends may call from 4-7pm Thursday, Sept. 29, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 10am Friday, Sept. 30, until time of services at 11am. The Rev. Ray Richardson will officiate and burial will follow in Castalia Cemetery.
