Shirley J. (Ward) Miller, 89, of Castalia, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in The Meadows at Osborn Park, Sandusky.

She was born April 3, 1934, in Sandusky, attended Sandusky High School, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sandusky. She enjoyed sewing, canning, and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Jane (Roger) Rowland of Bellevue; 2 sons Steven (Holly) Miller and Allen (Casey) Miller both of Castalia; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 brothers Larry (Debbie) Warner, Paul (Pam) Warner, and Greg (Denise) Warner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2012; her parents Russell and Ethel (Heishman) Ward; and 2 Angel Babies.

Friends may call from 4-6 pm Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.  Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, October 9, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Bardshar Road, Sandusky. The Rev. Jen Herrmann will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
