Sherri M. Brunner, 71, of Castalia, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 26, 2020, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Oct. 8, 1948, in Sandusky. She graduated from Margaretta High School in 1966 and from Kent State University in 1969. She taught 5th grade at Margaretta and Perkins Schools and then was dining room manager at the Castalia Trout Club for 21 years. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky.

Sherri is survived by her husband of 49 years Barry; 2 sons Matt (Jennifer) Brunner of Hebron, OH, and Mike (Jodi) Brunner of Sandusky; 5 granddaughters Haylie, Melena, Jordyn, Lyla, and Allie Brunner; 2 brothers Carl (Diana) Krawetzki and Charles (Debbie) Krawetzki both of Castalia; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Mary Krawetzki; son Benjamin in 1995; and sister Missi Castleberry in 2019.

There will be no visitation at the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, Castalia. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 31, at 10 am in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1605 W. Jefferson St., Sandusky, OH. The Rev. Krzysztof Kardzis will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
