Sharon F. McNichols, age 77, of Castalia, died unexpectedly Monday morning, December 30, 2019, in her residence.

She was born May 25, 1942, in Sandusky, and attended Margaretta High School.  She worked in the kitchen at the Ohio Veterans Home for many years.  Sharon enjoyed making and painting ceramics, and she loved hummingbirds.

She is survived by her two daughters Annette Smith, Green Springs, and Brenda Fleming, Clyde; son David McNichols, Castalia; two grandchildren Jeremy and Cody; two sisters Bev (Donald) Fox and Nancy (Steve) Molnar; two brothers Richard and Larry Wuertz; and several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie McNichols; parents Charles and Viola Wuertz; and granddaughter Alicia Garcia.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM Friday, January 3, 2020, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., where services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 10:30 AM.  Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
