Ronald J. Milburn, 78. of Castalia, died suddenly Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, in the Franciscan St. Anthony Health Center, Michigan City, IN, while vacationing.

He was born July 2, 1938, in Pontiac, MI, and was a graduate of Pontiac High School. Ron worked in the grocery business his entire life, having starting as a bag boy, meat cutter, meat manager, and finally meat director for Miller's SuperValu Stores. Ron enjoyed spending time with his wife Doris,  being with his children and grandchildren, and fishing on Lake Erie.

Ron is survived by his wife, Doris Milburn, to whom he married Nov. 8, 1980; brother Richard (Ann) Milburn of Port Huron, MI., children Jennifer (Art) Martin of Florida, Jeff Milburn of Lake Forest, IL., Julie McKitrick of Sandusky, Lisa (Dan) Wieber of Sandusky, Doug (Debby) Wilbur of Fremont, Donald (Jennifer) Wilbur of Vickery, Dora Wilbur of Norwalk, John Wilbur of Green Springs, and Robert (Shanda) Wilbur of Port Clinton; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mandal and Thea Milburn.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, until time of services at 11:00 AM  in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Pastor John Paputza will officiate. Cremation will follow. Following the service, all in attendance are invited to join the family at the Congregational United Church of Christ, 205 Main St., Castalia, for a luncheon.
