Skinner Richard D. Skinner, age 72, of Sandusky, died Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013, at his residence, following a brief illness. He was born July 17, 1940 in Trumble, OH and graduated from Columbus East High School in 1956. Richard was an avid reader and loved to play cards and golf, he retired in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Parker) Skinner; two daughters, Kelly Hallberg, Columbus and Karen (Jerry) Acuff, TX; son, Kerry Skinner, Columbus; five grandchildren, Kristin (Justin) Boney, FL, Christopher (Jackie) Hallberg, FL, Nicole Hallberg, Columbus, Kylie Skinner, London, OH, and Alicia Skinner, London, OH; one great granddaughter, Kaylee Boney, Fl; one sister, Diana (Mark) Hollingsworth, Columbus; two sisters-in-law, Karen Skinner, Columbus and Cheryl Skinner, Cincinnati; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Dorothea (Philips) Skinner and two brothers Gordon and Foster Skinner. At the request of the decedent, there will be no visitation and cremation will take place.
