Richard F. Baum, age 76, of Sandusky, died Monday afternoon, August 13, 2018, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

He was born Sept. 30, 1941, in Sandusky, to Emerson and Helen (Frederick) Baum. He worked for Russell Truck Line and South Shore Transportation. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a 1960 graduate of Margaretta High School, and a member of the Army National Guard.

Dick married the former Ann Bahnsen on November 28, 1964, in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Edgar Hoover officiated.

He is survived by his wife Ann; daughter Sally (Gary) Stieber; grandsons Canaan Richard and Brant Charles Stieber; sister Marilyn (John) Didion; brothers Donald (Phyllis) Baum and Elton (Patricia) Baum; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Wayne Baum I; nephew Wayne Baum II; and niece Constance Stockton.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, until time of Christian Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Matthew Frisbee will officiate, and burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
