Raymond "Joe" Brandal, age 76, of Castalia, passed away Saturday morning, March 12, 2022, in his residence.

He was born December 10, 1945, in Sandusky, and attended Margaretta High School.  Raymond worked for Sandusky Folding Box and retired from Americraft, Norwalk.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports.  Raymond enjoyed going fishing and golfing; doing yard work; traveling across the country; and going to casinos.  He got great joy in watching and feeding the deer at East Harbor State Park.

He is survived by his wife Karen (Lipp) Brandal; daughter Tami Stamm; son Raymond (Tanya) Brandal; four grandchildren Trent and Shelby Stamm, and Benjamin and Jacob Brandal; sister Martha Bosworth; brother Robert Brandal; and several nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Eithel (Wiseman) Brandal; one sister, and one brother.

A celebration of life will be 4-7 PM Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
