Norman Thomas, 75, of Bay View, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky. He was born January 4, 1941 in Miami, WV. At the age of 20, Norman moved to Sandusky, OH where he met his wife, Dorothy (Preston) Thomas, of 54 years. Norman worked at Ford Motor Company for 30 years retiring in 1999. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and going to garage sales. You could often find Norman at the Bay View Center where he liked to hang out and talk to friends. They nick named him the Security Guard. Norman is survived by his wife; daughters, Lisa (Bob) Garcia of Anaheim, CA, and Candi Crawford of Virginia; sons, Jeffrey (Tammy) Thomas, Charles (Brenda) Thomas , Louis Thomas, and a special son, James (Laura) Duncan, all of Sandusky; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce (Gene) Howell of Columbus, OH, and Kathy Thomas of WV; brothers, Paul and Terry Thomas of WV; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Othel and Myrtle (Payne) Thomas; sisters, Helen Kincaid and Phyllis Saultz; and a brother, Junior Thomas. Friends may call Wednesday, Mar 23rd, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St, Castalia where services will be held Thursday, Mar 24th at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
