Melissa Marie Cruz, age 47, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully, Thursday May 27, 2021, at the Bellevue Hospital.

She was born April 8, 1974 in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1992.  She attended New Life Christian Church, Sandusky, and enjoyed to cook, make crafts, camp, and spend time with her family; especially with her son and two sisters.  Melissa loved to go fishing and went every chance she could.

She is survived by her son Alden; mother Carmen Montecinos; sisters Paula (Marty) Claus, and Olga Ehrhardt; niece Hannah; nephews Mathew, Jacob, Zachary, and Joshua; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Cruz, and cousin Anna Montecinos.

There will be no services and cremation will take place.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
