Lester L. "Fred" Cochrane, of Milan, passed away peacefully, at the age of 79, on Monday,  December 10, 2018 at Stein Hospice Center in Sandusky, Ohio.

Fred was born in Marion, Ohio and spent most of his life in northern Ohio. He was a hard-working husband and father. While he retired many years ago, he continued to work,  as that was his nature. He was proud to be a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He enjoyed hunting, boating, and fishing on Lake Erie. He enjoyed visiting with his children and grandchildren; and he loved his African grey parrot, Nicki.

He is survived by his 3 sons and 2 daughters, 13 grandchildren, nieces, and other family members. He will be lovingly remembered by many.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Carol E. Cochrane.

Friends may call from 12:00 Noon, until time of services at 1 PM, Tuesday,  December 18, 2018 at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service,  610 S. Washington St., Castalia, Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
