John S. Rovder, Jr., 82, of Castalia, died Saturday, May 8, 2021, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

He was born October 23, 1938, in Campbell, OH, and was employed by Babcock and Wilcox, in Alliance, as an engineer for many years retiring in 2001. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky, and was a US Navy Veteran.

John is survived by his wife the former Carol Ashton; 2 daughters Jaqueline (Steve) Rebillot and Pamela (Todd) Cramer; 3 sons John Rovder, lll, Russell Fenwick, and Kevin (Dawn) Fenwick; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.

Friends may call from 1-3 pm Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home, followed with military honors presented by the US Navy. Cremation will take place and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
