John H. Fox, age 72, of Castalia, passed away Monday morning, September 30, 2024, at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, following a lengthy illness.  He had been under the care of Heartland Hospice, Fremont.

He was born February 18, 1952, in Toledo, and attended Sandusky High School.  John worked for many years at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, in the maintenance department, and then went to NOMS Healthcare, where he retired, in 2017.      He was known by "Foxy" and in his former years, he enjoyed classic cars and he DJ'd many charitable car shows; he also enjoyed riding his Goldwing trike. He was a former member of Remember Cruisin' Car Club in the 90's; former American Legion Rider Member; and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marie (Willis) Fox; three daughters Pamela (Eric) Wallace, Rebecca Webb, and Jennifer (Joshuah) Ward; nine grandchildren Ashley (Aaron) Pratt, Timothy (Ariel) Cutcher, Mackenzie Schneider, Ashton Martz, Cassidy Ward, Erika Milner, Christopher Wainwright, Alisha Palmer, and Chelsey Webb; 15 great grandchildren; and sister Cynthia (Steve) Riesterer.

John was preceded in death by his parents Milton and Mary Anita (McFadgen) Fox; and his beloved dog "Dusty" who passed away on July 24, 2024.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be on Friday at 10 AM.  Cremation will follow after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Heartland Hospice and the Wounded Warriors, since he greatly admired Veterans.
