Jason E. Bolyard, age 75, of Oberlin, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 19, 2026, in his residence, following a lengthy illness.

He was born January 11, 1951, in Newburg, WV., and retired from Johnson Control, Oberlin. Jason was a member of The Church of God, Castalia, and loved studying his Bible and talking about the Lord.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Pash) Bolyard; two daughters Elisabeth (Daniel) Bennett, and Rachel (Dustin) Holbrook; granddaughter Aubree Holbrook; two sisters Marietta Taylor and Joanne (Ted) Denslow; three brothers Paul (Brenda) Bolyard, C. Donald (Peggy) Bolyard, and Roger (Bonnie) Bolyard; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Jason was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Viola (Bell) Bolyard; two grandchildren Lukas and Adyn Bennett; sisters Dorla Mortz, Wilma Bolyard, and Phyllis Cook; and brother Ralph Bolyard.

Friends may call Monday August 24, 2026, from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, OH 44824. Pastor Ronald Legg will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
