James (Jimmy) Sosa, age 67, Sandusky, died Wednesday night, May 17, 2017, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born Dec. 22, 1949 in Port Clinton, and attended Margaretta High School. He was employed by the Volunteers of America.
He was a member of Father's Heart Family Church in Sandusky, where he was leader of the praise and worship team. He loved his children and grandchildren; and was a musician most of his life, playing in several bands in the area.
Jimmy is survived by four daughters Jana Sosa of Huron, Libby Sosa of Huron, Olivia (Matt) Fisher of Sandusky, and Jaelyn Sosa of Milan; one son Ben (Boo Boo) Sosa of Huron; seven grandchildren Maddie, Kylie, Isabella, Audrey, Rainey, Landon, and Liam; three sisters Audrey Day of Castalia, Dorothy Haerr of Sandusky, and Betty (Steve) Sidoti of Sandusky; three brothers Wally (Linda) Sosa of Sandusky, Felix (Crusita) Sosa of Venice, FL, and Richard Sosa of Huron; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Mary Sosa; and one granddaughter Amelia Shepherd. Friends may call from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM Monday, May 22, 2017, in Father's Heart Family Church, 1814 Milan Rd., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the church with Pastor Anthony Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
