Irvin O. Dewey Sr., age 85, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday evening, October 4, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.

He was born December 27, 1936, in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1954.  He was a maintenance supervisor at Ford Motor Co., Sandusky, for many years.  Irvin was especially passionate about golf and loved to play.

He is survived by his wife Sheila (Martin) Dewey; daughters Kathleen Dewey, Vicki (David) Robertson, and Cheryl (Barry) Schings; sons Charles (Kim) Dewey, and Irvin (Lisa) Dewey Jr.; grandchildren Dakota, Cheyenne, Sarah, Laura, Heather, Jacob, Dustin, Rebecca, Ronald, Irvin III, Patrick, and Audrey; 23 great grandchildren; sister Nancy (Corky) Troutman; brother Jerry Dewey; and many nieces and nephews.

Irvin was preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Emma (Manz) Dewey; and sister Karen Kaufman.

At Irvin's request, there will be no services and cremation will take place.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
