BELLEVUE — Howard L. Eisenhauer, age 89, of Bellevue, died Thursday night, January 29, 2015, at University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo, after a brief illness.
Howard was born December 17, 1925, in Bloomingville, Ohio.
He attended Margaretta High School and served in the United States Navy during WWII. Howard was a farmer for many years and also worked as an carpenter for Charles Green Construction and managed Vista Villa in Port Clinton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his greatest joy was his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Annie (Adams) Eisenhauer; daughter Sheryl (Michael) Kluding, Elyria; son Terry (Bertha) Eisenhauer, Bellevue; five grandchildren Michelle (Rob) Snider, Elyria, Alexander Kluding, Elyria, Renee (Dan) Schoen, Bellevue, Randall (Eileen) Eisenhauer, Shiloh, and Scott (Heather) Eisenhauer, Bellevue; sister Marjorie Loroff, Castalia.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Helen (Burkin) Eisenhauer; sister Jeanette (Donald) Meyer; and brother in-law Henry Loroff.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St. in Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
