Helen M. Ours, 88, of Castalia, OH passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family.

Helen was born on August 8, 1932, and grew up in New Plymouth, OH, to the late Walter M. and Mahala Aplin Peters.  She left the area after meeting and marrying her husband George.  After moving several times, they ended up making their home in Castalia, OH, in 1960, where they raised their 6 daughters.  Our mother was a kind and gentle soul.    She was a homemaker who loved to sew, read books, and was an avid crossword and jigsaw puzzler.  She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers in her backyard.  Most of all she loved to babysit and watch her grandchildren participate in sports.

She is survived by her brother Walter (Patsy) Peters Jr.  of Lincoln Park, MI; four daughters, Susanna Ours, Dianna (Bob) Frausto,  Kathleen Ours,  Tina (Chris) O'Hara and former son-in-law Randy Manuella, all of Sandusky, OH;    11 Grandchildren Lisa (Brian) Smith, Amy (Jason) Williams,  Michelle Stenger, Brandy (Conor) Whelan, Joshua Cody, Jordan Frausto, Dominick(Leah) Frausto, Megan (Mike) Smith, Ben (Stephanie) Mayse, Corrine O'Hara, and Brittney O'Hara; and 20 great grandchildren.

Helen is preceded in death by parents, her husband, George, of 61 years, brothers Glenn and Donald Peters; sisters Pauline Williamson and Ernestine Huntley; and two daughters Marjorie "Margie" Ours and Roseina "Rose" Manuella.

A private family memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.   Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
