CASTALIA - Geraldine "Jeri" Kellem Meyers, age 83, of Bellevue, went to be with Jesus in Heaven Wednesday night, Dec. 12, 2012, after a brief illness. She was a very loving mother who served the Lord her entire life. She was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Tallmadge, Ohio, and moved to Huntington, W.Va. Her family moved north in 1943 for employment opportunities and was employed by General Motors, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Peoples Church for many years. Jeri is survived by her six children, Sharon (Jim) Jamison, of Bellevue, Sandy Meyers, of Sandusky, David Meyers, of Clyde, Suzzanne Meyers, of Bellevue, Babsi Meyers Ferres, of Gilbert, Ariz., and Rebecca (Keith) Kuns, of Castalia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, James Kellem, of Roanoke, Va.; one sister, Evelyn Boster, of Fremont; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtle (Crum) Kellem Sr.; three brothers, William, George, and Charles Kellem; and two sisters, Minnie Estep and Gladys Boster. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, until time of services at 11 a.m. in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Pastor Ken Hiser will officiate.
