Gerald C. "Gary" Koch, age 78, of Sandusky, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

He was born June 18, 1944, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1962.  He was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Cleveland, and retired from the Rocky River Schools in 2000.

He is survived by his sister Clarice Gowitzka; brother Dean (Robin) Koch; and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his son Scott Koch in 2018, 3-year-old daughter Kimberly Koch; parents Clarence and Bertha (Wobser) Koch; and brother in-law Steve Gowitzka.

Cremation has taken place and burial will take place in Castalia Cemetery.  Pastor Stephanie Parker will officiate.   Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
