Garland Dean, age 70, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away October 6, 2021, in his residence.

He was born December 18, 1950, in Logan, WV, and graduated from EHOVE.  He served in the US Army and was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by his daughter Gayle (Dom) Scali; son James (Melissa) Dean; grandchildren Dylan and Hannah Dean, Eric and Amber Shuck, Anna Scali, Jessica and Justin Przytulski, Dominick McDonald, and Liam Johnson; mother Helen (Sostrich) Dean; sisters Rhonda Dean and Norma (Dave) Piddock; brothers Roger (Wanda) Dean, Terry (Delilah) Dean, and Leslie (Deborah) Dean.

Garland was preceded in death by his wife Jean Dean, in 2011 and father Troy Dean, in 2016.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM, Friday, October 22, 2021, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St. Castalia.  Services will be on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 10 AM in Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church, 7703 Mason Rd, Sandusky, OH 44870.  Burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery.
