CLYDE - Eugene Bernard Sharp, Sr., 79, of Clyde, went home to be with his Savior Saturday Morning, October 10, 2015, in ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont. He was born December 23, 1935, in Crestline, and was a 1953 graduate of Margaretta High School. He was employed by Providence Hospital, was a veteran in the United States Marines, and was a member of Harvest Baptist Temple in Clyde. Gene is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Lehrer, to whom he was married for 54 years; one daughter Susanna Gail (Pat) Schwacke of Sandusky; two sons George Norman (Juanita) Sharp of Milan, and Eugene Bernard (Bonita) Sharp, Jr. of Clyde; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother LeRoy (Judy) Sharp of Sandusky; his foster father Roland Windau of Castalia; four foster sisters Martha (Bob) Moser of Castalia, Kathy Bollini of Castalia, Susan (Gregg) Moore of Willard, and Barb (Greg) Siesel of Castalia; foster brother Gary Windau of Castalia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Susanna Sharp; two brothers; six sisters; his foster mother Margaret Windau; and his foster brother David Windau. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services on Tuesday, October 13, at 11 a.m., at Harvest Baptist Temple, 1022 S. Main St. in Clyde. Pastor James Lewis, Jr. will officiate, and a luncheon will be served at the church after the service and before the burial at 1:30 p.m., in Sand Hill Cemetery.
