Erna Mae Taylor, age 91, of Castalia, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, November 9, 2017,  at the Willows at Bellevue, where she had been residing.

She was born June 6, 1926, in Sandusky and graduated from Sandusky High School.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, and worked at the Log Cabin Inn for 15 years as a waitress.  Erna Mae was also a cake decorator and liked to clean, sew, and paint.   She loved to spend time with her children, grand children, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Kathleen (David) Bodi, Sandusky; son Charles (Marilyn) Taylor, Castalia; three grandchildren Becky (Brion) Ronto, Keith (Brittany Hausman) Bodi, and Chad (Clarissa) Taylor; six great grandchildren Megan Hauser, Autumn Bodi, Danielle Bodi, Gracie Bodi, Ethan Ronto, and Kyla Taylor; several nieces and nephews; and special companion Emmett Gundy, Tucson, AZ.

Erna Mae was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Taylor in 1996; parents Burgie and Lurella (Paule) Miller; and brother Paul Miller.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM Monday, November 13, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia.  Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate.  Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
