Eric John Ward, 20, of Castalia, died unexpectedly Monday, August 22, 2016.

He was born July 16, 1996, in Fort Hood, TX, and was a 2015 graduate of Margaretta High School and EHOVE, where he was a 3 sport athlete, Ambassador, VIP, and Teen Leadership Corps participant. He was currently attending Bowling Green State University, and was a member of the Army National Guard. He was known for his kind heart for the family pets, and enjoyed motorcycling, surfing, and spending time with his family and friends who all cared for him so much.
He is survived by his parents Brian and Kendra Ward of Castalia; sister Baylee Ward; paternal grandparents John and Nancy Ward, and Kitty and Jack Jones; maternal grandparents John and Janell Genung, and Paul and Linda Madison; maternal great grandmother Eloise Madison; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his cousin Mackenzie Vink, and many loving grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 PM Saturday, August 27,2016, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
