Edward L. Meggitt VICKERY: Edward L. Meggitt, age 83, of Vickery, died unexpectedly Saturday night, March 30, 2013, in his residence. He was born April 5, 1929, in Vickery, and graduated from Townsend School in 1947. He was a farmer and vegetable grower his whole life. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth (Dideon) Meggitt; daughter Marie Greene, Vickery; three sons Edward (Brenda) Meggitt Jr., Temperance, MI, Bruce (Vicki) Meggitt, Vickery, and Kenneth (Maribel) Meggitt, Vickery; ten grandchildren, Benjamin Meggitt, Cory Meggitt, Jennifer Cresswell, Jeremy Knapp, Joshua Meggitt, Dawn Jerrett, Ashley William, Michelle Kelly, Laura Greene, and Kenneth James Meggitt; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, James and Grace (Dawes) Meggitt; and three brothers, James, William, and Harold Meggitt. Friends may call from 4-7 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia and from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Ransom Funeral Home. Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate.
